Dr Robert Gordon is an accomplished energy sector leader, specialising in sustainable transitions and hard-to-abate industrial sectors. His career spans industry, academia, and consulting, from a Royal Society Fellowship at the University of Cambridge, to senior roles at Rolls-Royce and the University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Melbourne Energy Institute, with over 45 peer-reviewed publications in energy and industrial decarbonisation. As a trusted advisor, Dr Gordon has led dozens of consulting engagements with Australian energy leaders.
Now Director and co-founder of Ferron Energy, he focuses on scalable, commercially viable technologies aligned with emerging clean energy policy and market needs. Drawing on a deep foundation in quantitative analysis from his time with McKinsey & Company and Rolls-Royce, he has a deep focus on both the commercial and technical performance of new energy technologies.
